About Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited

Manakamana Engineering Hydropower Limited (MEHL) is a Nepali hydropower company listed on NEPSE under the Hydro Power sector. It was incorporated on 18 July 2010 as a private limited company and converted to a public limited company on 10 July 2021. The company operates the 5 MW Ghatte Khola Small Hydropower Project, a run-of-river scheme located in Dolakha district, Bagmati Province, using the head and flow of the Ghatte Khola. The project achieved commercial operation on 8 November 2020. MEHL signed a power purchase agreement with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on 12 August 2013 for 30 years from COD, and the project was financed entirely by domestic financial institutions.
