Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) was established as a private company in April 2014 and converted to a public company in June 2019. It operates the 9.51 MW Mai Beni Hydropower Plant, a run-of-river scheme on the Mai River in Ilam district, Koshi Province, with major components between 490 m and 645 m elevation. The plant has been in commercial operation since 17 September 2021, about two months ahead of its required COD of 18 November 2021, and has shown stable generation of roughly 86–90% of contract energy in recent fiscal years.
