RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is a national-level Class-D wholesale microfinance institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, and is noted as the first wholesale microfinance institution registered with its head office outside the Kathmandu Valley. It began operations on 26 Bhadra 2070 B.S. (11 September 2013) from Butwal, Rupandehi district in Lumbini Province. It was promoted with involvement of the erstwhile Lumbini Bank Ltd. (now Global IME Bank Ltd.) and 172 individuals from 40 districts. RSDC focuses on wholesale lending to cooperatives and microfinance institutions, building on the work of the Rural Self-reliance Development Centre. It is listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange under the symbol RSDC.
